Admissions

We are here to help. Every referral is treated with care, compassion, and a genuine commitment to finding the right support for each child. We aim to make the admissions process clear, supportive, and collaborative from the very first conversation.

Our admissions process

Choosing an alternative provision is a significant decision. We take the time to understand each child's unique strengths, needs, and circumstances before making any decisions about placement. We work collaboratively with families, schools, and local authorities throughout the process.

Step 1: Informal conversation

The first step is to get in touch with our team for an informal conversation. We listen, understand your child's needs, and discuss if Oak & Ash Learning Provision is the right setting. We will explain how our provision works and answer any questions you may have.

Step 2: Visit our centre

If Oak & Ash appears to be the right fit, we arrange a visit to the provision. This gives parents, carers, schools, or local authority representatives the opportunity to meet our team, explore the learning environment, and see our approach in action.

Step 3: Collaborative planning

Following your visit, we work closely with families, schools and professionals to gather the information needed to ensure Oak & Ash Learning Centre is the right fit for your child. Our admissions panel will review the application and supporting information and may invite your child to attend an assessment day, allowing them to experience the setting while our team assesses how we can best support them. Our priority is to ensure a smooth, positive transition into our learning community.

Committed to every child's success

At Oak & Ash Learning Centre, we recognise that every child is unique. Through personalised learning programmes, small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, and a nurturing environment, we provide tailored support that enables children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Personalised support

We take time to understand each pupil's strengths, interests, barriers to learning, and individual needs. This forms the foundation of their personalised learning programme, ensuring that support is truly tailored and effective.

Nurturing environment

Our small class sizes and high staff-to-pupil ratios create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, understood, and encouraged to develop. This supportive atmosphere is crucial for academic, social, and emotional growth.
